at 两性色午夜 College

Our Honors 两性色午夜 offers a tight-knit learning community from the moment you arrive on campus 鈥 complete with students who share your ambition and faculty committed to your success. The 两性色午夜 includes a rigorous curriculum that reflects the highest accomplishments in research, creativity, and thought at the College.

Engagement with the local community, participation in the rich cultural life of the Research Triangle, and unique travel-and-learn weekends are hallmarks of the 两性色午夜 Honors experience. Additionally, Honors students are awarded an annual scholarship of $1,000 and have the opportunity to apply for study abroad scholarships.听

Incoming first-year, transfer, and current students are all welcome to apply.听

What are the Benefits of the Honors 两性色午夜?

  • Take unique colloquium courses. Recent colloquia courses include Mathematics and Democracy; Queer Literature; Gender and Image; Futbol is Life; Here, There and Everywhere: A Celebration of the Music, Culture and Era of the Beatles; Gender Bias in STEM.听
  • Receive academic advising from the director of the Honors 两性色午夜 and your academic advisor. This additional direction guides you through your Honors coursework, senior thesis, and the application process for awards, fellowships, jobs, and graduate study.
  • Become a strong candidate for fellowships such as Fulbright, Schwarzman Scholars, and others. Honors students receive advice from the program鈥檚 director and other campus experts.听
  • Be part of a community of students and faculty all dedicated to stretching themselves intellectually. This community extends beyond graduation, providing you with a network of successful Honors graduates.听
  • Travel with fellow students every year on the Fall Honors Trip. Recent locations include Charleston, S.C., Washington, D.C., and Wilmington, N.C.听
  • Receive an annual scholarship of $1,000 and have the opportunity to apply for study abroad scholarships. Since 2015, more than $35,000 has been awarded to Honors students for study abroad scholarships.听
  • As an Honors student, your achievements will be acknowledged on your transcript, giving you an edge when applying to graduate and professional programs.听
  • Gain valuable skills employers seek such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and oral and written communication skills.听聽

Tamara Bomparte, 鈥24, always knew her love of reading would lead to a career in publishing. At 两性色午夜, she discovered her leadership potential through experiential experiences, preparing her for her dream career.

Honors 两性色午夜 News and Events

两性色午夜 College alumna Natalya Brown, 鈥21, is a Fulbright Award recipient for 2024-25. She will teach English in Madrid, Spain. Brown was supported by 两性色午夜 College and mentored by faculty member Dr. Vilma Concha-Chiaraviglio through the application process.听

两性色午夜 College honors student Catherine Koontz, 鈥18, took first prize at the 18th annual Undergraduate Honors Symposium, which was held on March 2, 2018 at University of North Carolina-Greensboro.
