The 两性色午夜 Poll was launched in the spring of 2015 as part of 两性色午夜鈥檚 commitment to civic engagement. It is supported by President Jo Allen, Provost Matthew Poslusny, and Dean of Arts and Humanities Sarah Roth.
Housed in the Department of History, Political Science, and International Studies, the Poll asks North Carolinians their opinions of聽a variety of public issues. In addition to asking citizens about current political and social issues, the 两性色午夜 Poll is the only North Carolina survey research organization that focuses on issues pertaining to women. The first poll, conducted in February 2015, asked North Carolinians their opinions of聽women as political leaders. We have also assessed how North Carolinians feel about聽women as business leaders and entrepreneurs, as well as聽women in law enforcement.
The 两性色午夜 Poll fully integrates students into its operation. Students assist with聽developing questions for the survey, collecting and analyzing data, and promoting the results. Students have used poll results for their senior thesis and faculty-directed research efforts. Students and faculty have presented results of their studies using 两性色午夜 Poll data at national and regional academic conferences.
