Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ Poll / Poll: Political Partisanship and Fake News
The Spring 2017 Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ÌýPoll explored North Carolinians’ views about fake news, their media usage, and political divisions.
The Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ÌýPoll surveyed registered voters in North Carolina, asking questions including the following:
- How often do they encounter fake news? How confident are they that they can recognize fake news?
- Where do they get their political news?
- How do they view the direction of the country?
- What are their perceptions of conservatives and liberals?

With this poll, Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ College used both an email survey and a live-caller, dual frame (landline and cell phone) survey of 876 registered voters of North Carolina between February 19-28, 2017. The survey has a margin of error of +/- 3 percentage points for registered voters.
