In this issue, we celebrate the accomplishments of faculty and staff in accounting, communication, music, psychology, and theatre. We also congratulate faculty who have been awarded sabbaticals.
Dr. Nancy Johnson, Instructor, School of Business and Dr. Candalyn Rade, Assistant Professor of Psychology have published an article “Online versus face-to-face instruction: Entry level accounting students are performing about the same” in the 2025 edition of the North American Accounting Studies journal. This Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoLT) research was undertaken through support from the 两性色午夜 College SoTL Scholars program.
Assistant Professor of Theatre Lormarev Jones will direct the Pulitzer Prize-winning play Fairview by Jackie Sibblies Drury, produced by Justice Theatre Project.聽 The play bends both genre and reality, and features Professor Emerita Catherine Rodgers. Dr. Lynn Owens, Associate Professor of Communication, appeared as a guest on PBS NC鈥檚 Black Issues Forum on January 24, to discuss journalism ethics and AI.
Director of Instrumental Activities Jim Waddelow was elected to a four-year term as聽 National Secretary of the College Orchestra Director Association (CODA). The election was held at the January 2025 CODA national conference in Omaha, Nebraska.
