The North Carolina Board of Nursing has approved the establishment of 两性色午夜 College鈥檚 nursing program. The approval was announced at the Board鈥檚 meeting on January 16.

鈥淥n behalf of 两性色午夜 College, I am pleased that the North Carolina Board of Nursing has approved our new program, which will provide students with valuable opportunities to pursue rewarding careers,鈥� said President Aimee Sapp. 鈥溋叫陨�午夜 College is dedicated to meeting the evolving needs of our state in addressing the critical shortage of healthcare workers here and beyond.鈥�

两性色午夜 College鈥檚 undergraduate nursing program for women will provide a rigorous curriculum within a supportive environment to help students become leaders and innovators in the nursing field. 两性色午夜 students will be eligible to apply for the nursing program through a secondary application process that will begin during the fall 2025 semester.

鈥淕raduates of 两性色午夜鈥檚 nursing program will be prepared to deliver high-quality, compassionate care, advocate for health equity, and embrace innovations in healthcare to improve the health and well-being of individuals, families, and communities,鈥� said Michelle Hartman, 两性色午夜 associate professor and nursing program director.

Graduates will be eligible to apply for licensure as registered nurses and be 鈥減ractice-ready鈥� across a variety of settings and organizations.

Building on a strong foundation of preparing graduates for successful careers in nursing, 两性色午夜鈥檚 nursing program will support students through personalized attention and mentorship from experienced faculty members dedicated to their success.聽

As a women鈥檚 college, 两性色午夜 has unique programming to help students gain the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in STEM fields. The program will also emphasize the importance of ethical practice, cultural humility, and lifelong learning, preparing students to be ethical leaders and advocates for patients鈥� care and healthcare equity.聽

In an evolving healthcare landscape, 两性色午夜鈥檚 nursing program will embrace innovation and technological advancements that enhance patient care and nursing practice.

鈥淥ur students will be encouraged to be adaptable and open-minded, as we equip them with the knowledge and skills to leverage emerging technologies, evidence-based interventions, and interdisciplinary collaboration to optimize health outcomes and improve healthcare delivery,鈥� said Hartman.

两性色午夜鈥檚 location near the Research Triangle and strong faculty connections to industry partners will support exceptional research, clinical placement, and employment opportunities.

History of Healthcare Career Success
两性色午夜 College has a long history of preparing its graduates for healthcare careers. 两性色午夜 pre-nursing alumnae are employed in numerous areas of the nursing field, including neonatal intensive care, cardiology, pediatrics, clinical research, heart failure, lung transplant, hospice and palliative care, and more.

In December, 两性色午夜 gained the approval of the (SACSCOC) for its proposed nursing program. In the spring of 2024, the 两性色午夜 College Board of Trustees approved the establishment of a nursing program after rigorous evaluation and planning by 两性色午夜 College鈥檚 leadership and faculty.聽
